Fact Bomb

Most people want to be “fixed” right now this very second. One session of therapy should be able to erase years of negative thoughts, internal self abuse, abuse and cure every thing that feels wrong with life. The truth about this sort of magical thinking is simple.

"Sometimes magic is just someone spending more time on the something than anyone else might reasonably expect."

Thank your Chris Jones for that wonderful summary of what magic, looks like. This is why we live in a society that is over medicated, under nourished and obese all at the same time. The magic fix is spending more time on the something. Maybe take action.

When I was about 8 years old my friend Natasha said “I am going to be a teacher” and I said “I am going to let people know that someone loves them and they don’t have to feel bad.” I didn’t know what that actually meant. By the time I was old enough for college I had too much of my own shit to work out to even slightly consider helping others. (Although I did every day, it was my way of avoiding working on myself).

Over the years I’ve learned the value of radical acceptance, healing our parts and self – responsibility.  When we combine those things with boundaries and step into our authentic selves we can show up, do the work and help others do the work so they can also experience inner peace, safety, unconditional love and love unconditionally.

Do you ever wonder If you are missing out on something? If you’ve made all the right choices? Or do you ever feel like you did it all wrong and if you had only done ____ life would be drastically different?

I am very spiritual, not religious, just spiritual. I used to worry constantly. I experienced anxiety. I experienced that negative loop that never ends. I’ve also come to accept, I’ve never been in the wrong place. Steve Jobs said something like we can only connect the dots by looking back. And, while I am not a fan of being stuck looking back or too far forward, I’ve been able to connect my dots. And I continue to connect them.

When I watch others connect their dots, spot the patterns and begin to understand and formulate their personal why, it reminds me exactly why I do this work. Nothing is broken. No person. No thing. We all exist just as we should.

Would I love to rid the world of all evil? Of course, I would. But, I’m not here to eradicate evil, I am here to practice love, teach love, and lead others to a place of unconditional love, self acceptance and hopefully find inner peace. I’m not for everyone and that’s okay. I am for the ones who believe in the power of human energy, thought and healing.

“Resistance causes us to dwell in our mind, acceptance allows us to dwell in the joy of now.”  Eckhart Tolle
